In this the information age, I'm continually amazed by some things that make absolutely no sense at all and yet are considered the norm. Granted, I've got two small kids and there's very little that makes sense where they are concerned, so I'll be the first to admit that there are things that you leave alone because although the logic makes no sense, it works. But there are other things that I just can't overlook. Dental Insurance is one of them.
Let's look at a hypothetical situation and you tell me if it makes any sense.
You are paying $100/month for dental insurance. Your total annual cost is $1,200 for the policy. Your plan includes a $50 deductible. The maximum that your dental plan will pay out annually is $1,500. Okay, now without my having to go into any sort of detail as to why I am amazed at the number of people who are paying for dental insurance, please do the math.
You just paid $1,250 for $250 of benefits!
Did you know that there is such a thing as a Discounted Fee-For-Service Dental Plan? These plans are very affordable and for the price, it's absolutely amazing what is included! Because they are not insurance, there are no limits on visits or services, all ongoing dental problems are accepted, there are no age limits on any dental procedure, no forms to fill out, no waiting periods, orthodontics are included, cosmetic dentistry is included, all specialists are included, and you can change dentists whenever you want without notifying anyone!
The plan works this way. For a low monthly fee, members of discount plans gain access to wholesale rates similar to what large insurance companies pay. Just imagine that grocery store savings card you carry with you. As long as you use that card, you get all the specials offered at the grocery store. Without it, you pay full price.
Same idea here except that when care is received at a participating provider, the member pays the discounted pre-negotiated fee.
What kind of savings do members receive? This is the best part! I'll use Pennsylvania as an example because that's where I live. In Pennsylvania, the cost for braces on a fee-for-service plan averages around $2,250. Because there are no limits, you can continue to use the plan for any other dental issues that arise. If you are paying for insurance and your child needs braces, the standard cost runs between $4,000 and $6,000. Assuming your annual limit is $1,500, that leaves you with a bill of at least $2,500 and your dental plan won't cover anything else for the remainder of the year.
Because a fee-for-service plan is not insurance, there are no exclusions so consumers experience huge savings on every procedure a general dentist or specialist is licensed to perform. Another benefit is that the fee schedule has been pre-negotiated and is available for members to review so they can see ahead of time what their costs will be. No Surprises!
For those who need a more comprehensive supplement some plans also include Vision, Prescription, and Chiropractic Benefits, allowing consumers to save on these necessary services in addition to the dental and in some cases, at no extra cost. The thing that gets me excited about this is the fact that even with vision insurance; we still have a lot of expenses related to our eyes.
With our vision insurance, we only get one eye exam every other year, and our insurance only contributes $100 towards the cost of glasses or contacts.
The discount plan is a blessing here because we can get our eyes checked annually. My husband wears contacts and the annual eye exam is a requirement if he wants to refill his prescription. Not to mention the fact that he can now save money on the purchase of those contacts. And although my vision prescription isn't terrible, two years is just too long for me when it comes to getting new lenses.
And of course there are emergencies that arise and with the discount plan, I don't have to pay full price for repairs when my 1 year old gets a hold of my glasses!
Do yourself a favor and check into your dental plan.
Make sure you aren't being robbed by the tooth fairy, remember, she's supposed to be paying you

Electrophysics? Expands Options for High-End Surveillance With the SunStar 600?
For demanding situations, high-end surveillance systems require more than just average low-light CCD cameras to provide nighttime images. When security is critical, facilities will rely on their systems to perform above par, no matter what the lighting conditions may be.
The Electrophysics SunStar 600 is an ultra-low light camera that incorporates a high-performance CCD, featuring advanced on-chip signal processing.
When integrated with surveillance systems, the SunStar 600 will assure that low-light and nighttime conditions will never be vulnerability. Imaging in near total darkness is now as practical as ever, as the SunStar 600 features an ultra-low light sensitivity of 0.00001 lux.
The on-chip amplifier overcomes the fundamental noise limitations of traditional on-chip charge to voltage conversion and off-chip video amplification stages.
The camera converts photons to charge in the image area during the integration time period, then transfers the...

Choosing The Right Digital Camera For You
Let's get something straight right out of the box. If you're looking to buy a new digital camera, you don't really have to be an expert in pixels and mega pixels and all that kind of stuff. If you expect to find that kind of deep technical discussion here, you're in the wrong place.Actually, there's a whole lot of stuff you don't really need to know before tackling the daunting task of choosing the right digital camera for you. First of all, forget all the high-tech jargon. It's mostly a lot of sales hype anyway.
Choosing a good unit is pretty simple really...pretty much all you have to remember is that the higher the mega pixel rating on the front of the camera, the bigger picture you can make without it breaking up into little chunks (called pixels) and most likely the more cash it's likely going to pry out of your pocket. Each model has an array of techno-widgets that go by different names but they all have the same basic focus, to help you take a better picture.I have a quick...

4 Tips for Keeping a Team Motivated
Companies often have incentives for reps, but sometimes that isn't enough. To keep your team motivated, you could do a number of things: 1. Hold your own personal incentive for your teamThis could be something as simple as a a gift certificate for the one who sells the most in a month.2. Set up a message board just for your personal teamA great way to keep in contact with everyone. Many wahm boards already have a section for your company, so if you don't have the time to set up your own you could use a specific board for your team.
3. Send out a monthly newsletter to your teamKeep it personal and let them know how you are doing....motivate them by explaining some of the ways you have advanced during the month. 4. Contact your downline on a monthly basisPersonally contact everyone and see how they are doing. This is a good idea even if some in your team are making sales without your help.
